1. Educational Purpose and Simulation Disclaimer

1.1 Educational Platform Only

TradeSocial is designed exclusively for financial education, simulated trading, risk-free learning, and group collaboration.

1.2 Not a Financial Service

• ❌ NOT a brokerage — We are not a licensed broker-dealer or financial institution
• ❌ NO real money — All funds are virtual/simulated. You cannot deposit, withdraw, or transfer real money
• ❌ NO actual investments — All holdings are simulated only
• ❌ NO financial advice — We do not provide investment recommendations
• ❌ NOT regulated — We are not regulated by the SEC, FINRA, or any financial regulatory body

1.3 Simulation Accuracy

We display actual market prices for educational realism, but simulated trades execute instantly at market price. Real trading involves bid-ask spreads, slippage, commissions, and execution delays. Your simulated trades do not affect real markets.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

• Age requirement: Must be at least 13 years old (under 13 requires parental consent)
• Provide accurate information and keep your password secure
• Maintain only one account per person
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations

3. Subscription Terms

Free Tier

• Full portfolio simulation with $5,000 virtual funds
• Real-time market data
• Basic analytics

Premium ($7.99/month)

• Unlimited groups, advanced analytics, group leaderboards
• Milestone bonuses (earn virtual funds as groups grow)
• Priority support

Billing

• Managed through Apple App Store (StoreKit 2)
• Auto-renews unless canceled 24 hours before period ends
• Cancel anytime in iOS Settings > Subscriptions
• Apple controls refund policy

4. User Conduct

You agree to use TradeSocial for lawful educational purposes and respect other users. You may NOT:

• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Post hateful, discriminatory, or offensive content
• Send spam or unsolicited messages
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools
• Reverse-engineer, hack, or exploit the app
• Manipulate leaderboards or game mechanics
• Create fake accounts or impersonate others

5. Intellectual Property

We own all rights to the app code, design, brand, and educational content. You retain ownership of your profile information and group posts. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within TradeSocial.

6. Disclaimers

TradeSocial is provided "AS IS" without warranties. We do not guarantee uptime, data accuracy, or that simulation experience will translate to real trading success.

If You Decide to Trade Real Money

TradeSocial simulation experience does NOT prepare you for the emotional pressure of real money, transaction costs, market impact, or regulatory requirements. Real trading can result in total loss of capital. We strongly recommend consulting a financial advisor.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TradeSocial's total liability shall not exceed: $0 for free users, or the amount paid for your subscription in the last 12 months for premium users. We are not liable for lost profits, data loss, or indirect damages.

8. Privacy

Your use of TradeSocial is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points: we collect email, name, and simulated portfolio data. We use Firebase for secure services. We do NOT sell your data. You can delete your account anytime.

9. Dispute Resolution

Before legal action, contact support@tradesocial.app to resolve disputes informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification and email, with 30 days notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
